NSA: Voting for Sportsman and Sportswoman Closed, Voting Phase of Nigerian Sports Award Ends.

The Voting phase for the third edition of the Nigerians Sports Award is closed. The public voting which began on September 18, 2014 for the Sportsman of the year and the Sportswoman of the year award closed on Sunday November 2, 2014.
Nominated for the sportsman of the year award are Super Eagles Goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, Ogenyi Onazi and Osaze Odemwingie while Blessing Okagbare is nominated alongside Asisat Oshoala and Courtney Dike for the sportswoman of the year award.
According to the General Manager, Unmissable Incentive Limited, Organizers of the award said that the public’s vote will amount to 60 per cent while the panel will reserve 40 per cent of the votes that will determine the eventual winners of the awards.
Kayode Idowu stated that only the Sportsman and Sportswoman of the year categories are open for votes by members for the public while other categories will be determined by the award panel based on achievement of the athletes during the course of the year of the award.
According to Idowu, many of the expected sports personalities both within and outside the country have already confirmed their attendance for the November 13 event.
The third edition of the Nigerian Sports Award will hold on Thursday November 13, 2014 at the Muson centre, Onikan Lagos.
The award event is expected to be covered and broadcast live for the 2 hour duration by Supersports and other local TV stations.
