Nigerian Sports Award (NSA) is an award to recognize and celebrate outstanding performances by our sports men & women.
The NSA will be presented to such sports personalities, whose performances shone brightest at local & international level in the course of the year.
Nominations for the award is open to the general public every year.
The main objectives of the award is motivation and social recognition of a sports person. The award is given yearly.
Another objective of this award is to give social status and greater dignity to deserving sportsmen and women in the society.
This award will work to develop sports culture throughout the nation.

The Nigerian Sports Award 2015 was held on the 20th of November at the Marquee, Ocean View Garden, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island Lagos.
Looking at the year in review, all the nominees merited the nomination and the performance of all the winners of each category judging by the year in review was breathtaking; breaking and setting world records, conquering the continent, conquering other continents and too and even winning the world scrabble championship. It was truly a blessed year for Nigerian sports.
